Health & Safety

We offer a full Health & Safety service, being involved with your company as much or as little as suits you. Some of our clients use us as their ‘in house’ Health & Safety Manager, others for no more than telephone advice. The choice is yours. Either way you will receive a gold star service from friendly helpful & knowledgeable consultants. Depending on your needs we can either simply react to accidents/incidents as they happen or we can be proactive, and instigate training sessions designed to prevent them occurring.

We can look your entire health & safety needs, writing (with your input) your Health & Safety Policy, including the all important Arrangements and Procedures, doing all the risk assessments needed to ensure you and your business are compliant with the Regulations (that are there to keep you and your staff safe…). If you wish we can then monitor your company’s health & safety performance over the year.

A large part of our service is writing Health & Safety Manuals including all the risk assessments needed under Reg. 3 MHSW 1999. Many consultancies create a huge unwieldy document that looks very impressive in the boardroom, but in reality is useless as an everyday working document. Ours is user friendly – easy to read and understand by health & safety professionals and laymen alike, and not full of useless jargon. When we have written your personalised Manual- which will contain comprehensive but useable risk assessments for your premises, equipment, plant and the tasks/work you do, and any materials and substances, we will discuss with and advise you as to what measures you need to take to remedy any problems we find. We can also write you a set of very brief toolbox talks that you can deliver to your staff to help keep them ‘up to date’, and to keep H&S fresh in their minds.

For construction clients we have experienced people available to advise you, and if you are a contractor or sub contractor working on a CDM project, we can write the documentation you need. We can then carry out inspections to your sites to monitor the performance of your and other contractors, advising you or your sub-contract staff as needed , and generate a report detailing our findings. Our site reports are graded so you can see at a glance how your various sites are performing. We also operate a system of ‘penalty notices’ designed by us to hand out to errant staff or sub contractors who fail to meet the health and safety standards we set.
